Capacitors of this kind are mainly composed of three series: YA, YB, YC. They are mainly used as across-the-line,spark arrestor,antenna-earth coupling and by-pass capacitor in household appliances (e.g.color TV sets), electronic devices, computer terminal equipment and other electronic products adopting alternating current electric network as their power supplies which is no more than 500V Vrms(AC) between the electrodes of power supply or the voltage between either of the electrodes and earth is no more than 250Vrms(AC) and its frequency is no more than 100Hz.
